The LPKF PowerCut offers performance and efficiency for manufacturing precision parts from up to 4-mm-thick metal sheets -- with an accuracy known from SMT stencil manufacturing. The PowerCut system thus establishes a class of its own in the cutting industry.
Non-contact precision laser cutting offers a cost-effective alternative to the classic die-cutting process and other cutting processes for small and medium-sized series. Contour changes can be implemented quickly, easily and cost-effectively. High contour accuracy with extremely small radii, optimally sharp edges, smooth and clean surfaces and steep cutting walls characterize laser cutting with the LPKF PowerCut G 6080. If required, SMT stencils -- from a stencil sheet thickness above 80 µm -- can also be produced with the PowerCut G 6080 system.
Steels of varied alloys are suitable as materials. Non-ferrous and precious metals can also be processed very efficiently. Depending on the type of metal, the material should have a thickness of 0.08 to 4 millimetres. The tolerances are in the range of thousandths of a millimeter. The cutting channel and the heat-affected zone are considerably narrower compared to other cutting processes, so that far more precise results can be achieved.
